Tenor William Watson and Mezzo-Soprano Tracy Watson are pleased to present Watson Studios, Chicagoland's Collaborative Vocal Studio. Mezzo-Soprano Tracy Watson is a certified Singing Voice Specialist and a prolific performer know for the depth and beauty of her voice, as well as her interpretive skills. Praised for her versatility, Ms. Watson is equally at home on the opera and concert stage. She began her career in Chicago as a member of the prestigious Lyric Opera Center for American Artists after earning her Master of Music degree from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College. Her career took her to Germany where, at her first house audition, she was immediately engaged to sing the role of Dorabella in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte by the Staedtische Buehnen Dortmund. This led to her first Niklaus in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann. While living in Europe, she was fest at the Theater Oberhausen, where she sang such diverse roles as ...
William Watson
Tenor William Watson has been teaching voice for over fourteen years and was a member of the voice faculty at Northern Illinois University for eleven years. He has also taught at Loyola University of Chicago, North Park University, and Aurora University. Mr. Watson has taught voice to high-school students at Glenbrook North and Plainfield North high schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in music at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, where he studied voice with Dr. Richard Sjoerdsma, currently editor of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Bulletin. Mr. Watson studied further at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria where he was a student of Donna Harrison. Mr. Watson is a member of the Chicago Singing Teachers Guild.
